Do you want to take a break from your membership? Freezing your membership offers a flexible solution when you need a temporary break from your workouts. Freezing pauses both membership access and billing, and everything will automatically resume when the freeze ends.
 
  Important General Information About Freezing  
 
Freezing your membership means a temporary suspension of membership access and billing. Once the freeze period ends, access and billing will automatically and immediately reactivate.
 
Cancellation and Freezing: Please note that you cannot freeze your membership during the cancellation period, and a frozen membership cannot be canceled before the freeze period ends.
 
Freeze Confirmation: The freeze must be arranged in advance, either at reception or via email. The freeze is considered confirmed only after our staff has acknowledged it. Please keep the confirmation carefully so it can be presented to F24S staff if needed.
 
Retroactive Freezing: A freeze cannot be applied retroactively, and unused charged training days will not be credited afterward.
 
Early Termination of Freeze: You can end the freeze early without a charge by contacting the gym's reception. When ending the freeze, our staff will check the status of your billing and charge any outstanding membership fees as needed.
 
Extending the Freeze After It Has Started: The freeze end date or period cannot be extended after the freeze has been created. If you need a longer freeze, you must submit a new freeze request and pay a new freeze fee. For free freezes, a new relevant document must be presented.

 
  Reasons for and Duration of Freezing  
 
Freezing your membership can be done for a fee or free of charge.
 
Free Freeze: You can freeze your membership for free in the following special circumstances, each requiring appropriate documentation:
  • Illness
  • Military service
  • Pregnancy
  • Unemployment
A free freeze can be granted for the duration of the documentation’s validity, but for no more than 12 months from the date the request and documentation are received.
 
Note: Please remember to cover any sensitive information, such as health details or your personal identification number, before sending documents to us.
 

Paid Freeze: If you have another reason for freezing, you can opt for a paid freeze. There are two options:
  • €6.90 – Membership can be frozen for up to 3 months (can be used once per year)
  • €15 – Membership can be frozen for 3-12 months

     
  Billing and Freezing  
 
Membership Billing: Freezing temporarily stops membership billing. If the invoice for the following month has already been created, or if you have any outstanding invoices, they must be paid as usual. Any paid but unused training days during the freeze will be credited automatically on your next bill after the freeze ends.
 
Freeze Fee: A service fee of €6.90/€15 is charged, depending on the duration of the freeze.
  • If the freeze is created on-site at the gym, the fee is paid at the time of creation.
  • If the freeze is created via email, the fee will be sent as an e-invoice.
The freeze fee cannot be paid with sport benefits (Edenred, Epassi, Smartum) or by any other means than those mentioned above.
 
Note: For freezes requested via email, the fee will be sent as an e-invoice. This requires the customer to have a valid e-invoicing agreement in their online bank. Instructions for setting up e-invoicing can be found here.

 
  Instructions for Freezing Your Membership by Email  
 
Send an email either to the gym’s reception or to centralized customer service at info@f24s.fi. The email must include the following information:
  • Membership number
  • Confirmation that you accept the freeze service fee to be charged via e-invoice (the e-invoice agreement must be set up before the freeze can be created)
  • The exact period of the freeze, with the start date being no earlier than the contact date and the end date no more than 12 months away
  • For free freezes, the relevant documentation must be included
